Educational Research and Theory

The field of empirical educational research and educational theory focuses on the question of the relationships between these two variants of academic pedagogy. In addition to more analytical questions, it is researching this border area with various research projects, e.g. on religious competence or the analysis of lesson records, and tries to work on and thus expand questions of empirical educational research against the background of a systematic problem horizon.

Currently and for the near future, one focus of the work area, in addition to ongoing research projects, is dealing with the problem of what progressive global warming (climate crisis) means for education.
