Bojan Bilić, PhD

Bojan Bilić is a psychologist and political sociologist conducting research on a range of grassroots responses to nationalism, patriarchy, and authoritarianism in Yugoslavia and the post-Yugoslav space.

As of October 2025, he is a Principal Investigator of the project "Democratisation of Psychiatry in the (Post-)Yugoslav Space, 1980–2020", funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF, Project ID: PAT1971825) and a lecturer in the University of Vienna Master’s Programme in Gender Studies.

Bojan is the founder of the Queering YU Network, an informal collective of scholars and activists exploring the history and politics of (post-)Yugoslav queer initiatives. He holds a PhD in Eastern European Political Sociology from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London.
